Material conical hoppers are funnel shaped parts that are used to flow materials. The Toledo Metal Spinning Company standard material conical hoppers are designed with a 60 degree included angle. Various straight wall heights and diameters are available for our material conical hoppers.

What are TMS Stock Material Conical Hoppers?
TMS
produces an award-winning line of material conical hoppers made of type
304 stainless steel. The standard line of material conical hoppers was
introduced into the Toledo Metal Spinning product line in 1988.
This unique, method of forming material conical hoppers uses our proprietary deep draw/spin process to build material thickness
in the flange area while at the same time enhance the cosmetic appearance
of the part. Through the years we have designed and built all the necessary
tooling to produce a variety of sizes of material conical hoppers.
The quality of the standard TMS material conical hoppers is unparalleled. No heat is used during the forming process resulting in a high quality part each and every time. With our in-house process developed through the years, the amount of labor we require to produce a part utilizing the draw/spin process is greatly reduced compared to a conventional metal spinning process.
TMS material conical hoppers are used for material flow/conveying in the plastics, pharmaceutical, dairy, and home-brewing industries among others.
Each TMS conical hopper carries a part numbering scheme. For example, the TMS24612 is a 24” diameter hopper (ID of straight wall) with 6” straight wall made from 12 gauge parent material. Volumes in cubic feet and gallons are calculated and published on the website. Prices with quantity breaks are also included here for customer convenience. Prints are available at the click of the mouse – simply click on the part number of the hopper of interest and a blueprint will appear on the screen. Many engineers use the TMS standard line of conical hoppers as the centerpiece of their designs.
How soon can TMS ship a material conical hopper?
Material conical hoppers are on the shelf, and can be ready to ship right away. If you need additional work done to the hopper, there is a short lead-time added to the delivery window.
What options do I have with the standard material conical hopper?
TMS can cut the bottom out of the hopper, install a TMS standard window, cut off the flange, trim the straight wall or cut off the straight wall, polish, weld ferrules & collars, weld tubes, plasma cut side holes, fabricate and weld a base, fabricate and weld dump valves – there are limitless opportunities for customization.
Does TMS offer standard lids to match the standard material conical hoppers?
TMS offers standard, flat lids for each of the standard material conical hopper sizes. Handles and/or hooks can be added at an additional cost and additional lead time. Domed lids are also available for the 16” and 24” sizes in addition to the flat lids.
